this is my very 1st post for Friday illustration, which i couldn't post unfortunately...
Janmashtami, the birth of Lord Krishna is celebrated with great devotion in the August/September months, on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksh or the 8th day of the dark fortnight in the month of Bhadon, in the whole of north India. Janmaashtami, popularly known here as Dahi Handi celebrated with enormous zeal and enthusiasm, during this ceremony a large earthenware pot is filled with milk, curds, butter, honey ect. Group of youngsters, called Govinda Pathaks ( Troupes of Lord Krishna) travel around in trucks trying to break as many handis as possible during the day. this detachment of dahi(curd) and handi(pot) brings everyone together.

my younger sister had exam next day n she was suppose to take a illustration next morning. she killed me.... whole night when she was mugging up things , i was painting it 4 her...
